Legal Assistant

Zora Young is a Legal Assistant in the Nashville office of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. As a first-generation student, she received her B.A. with high distinction from New York University, where she double majored in Politics and Spanish with a minor in Global Liberal Studies.

Zora is committed to social justice and is an advocate for equity-based initiatives. For her honors thesis, she drafted an in-depth, comprehensive Reparations Package for harmed ethnic communities that focused on providing restitution through economic, political and social enhancement. Throughout college, Zora interned at a nonprofit immigration law firm and worked as a teaching assistant and program leader at several Title I schools in Brooklyn, New York to serve low-income, minority students.

Zora plans to attend law school in the future and concentrate in the areas of Civil Rights and International Human Rights Law.
