Shannon Henris is an Associate at Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight.

Shannon received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and her undergraduate degree in biology from William and Mary. While at Georgetown Law, Shannon was a Public Interest Fellow and served as Executive Articles Editor on the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy. She was also a student attorney in the Georgetown Law Civil Rights Clinic, and an intern or practicum student with the Legal Action Center, Legal Aid DC, the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection, the Humane Society of the United States, and the U.S. Administration for Community Living Office of Elder Justice. Shannon also served as a research assistant for the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law and volunteered with the Georgetown University Health Justice Alliance.

Before beginning her law career, Shannon completed an AmeriCorps placement with the National Park Service and built a career in population and public health technology.

When Shannon is not lawyering, she enjoys trying new recipes, traveling, and getting outside with her dog.
