Maureen Slack

Maureen Slack is an Associate at Sanford Heisler Sharp.

Maureen received her law degree from Harvard Law School, and her B.A. from NYU, where she received high departmental honors in history. During law school, she interned at the ACLU, Greater Boston Legal Services, and the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation, gaining experience in a variety of public interest legal areas.

Before joining Sanford Heisler Sharp, Maureen completed a clerkship for the Honorable Thomas S. Hixson of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Prior to her clerkship, Maureen was a Staff Attorney at The Legal Aid Society in the Bronx, where she gained substantial experience defending indigent tenants in eviction proceedings. She also was a law clerk at the Contra Costa Public Defender’s Office, assisting defendants facing the death penalty. Additionally, she completed a fellowship at OneJustice, where she organized legal clinics in rural and isolated communities throughout Northern California.
