Bob Sullivan is Of Counsel to Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight.
Bob has focused his practice on insurance regulatory law for more than 27 years and has significant experience in tax law and corporate governance issues. Prior to becoming Of Counsel to Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, Bob founded and led the Insurance Industry and Regulatory Practice Group for a national law firm. In addition to insurance industry transactions, Bob has also been involved in insurance litigation, including class action litigation. Bob has extensive expertise in analyzing annuity contracts and universal life schemes, which have been used by companies to enrich their agents at the expense of investors.
Bob received his law degree from the University of Kansas, an LL.M. from Emory University, and his Bachelor of Arts from Pittsburg State University.
A member of the Kansas and Missouri bars, Bob also is a licensed insurance producer in both Kansas and Missouri. Bob’s experience in private industry gives Bob a unique perspective regarding whether companies have breached their duties to consumers and investors. He is a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bar Associations.
