Yunfei Qiang

Yunfei Qiang is a Legal Assistant in the Palo Alto and San Francisco Offices of Sanford Heisler Sharp a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, Maryland, and Georgia. She received her B.A., High Distinction, from the University of California, Berkeley, where she double majored in Economics and Political Economy.

During her time in college, she was closely involved with academic research in the fields of social psychology, behavioral economics and economic development. In an independent research project, she examined the early development of gender stereotypes and gay/lesbian stereotypes in children, age 5 to 8. She extended her interests in gender justice and women’s rights by interning with Vital Voices Global Partnership in Washington, DC, a non-profit organization assisting women leaders in the areas of economic empowerment, women’s political participation and human rights.

Yunfei’s experience as a summer intern at Gulou District Legal Aid Center in Fuzhou, China guided her way to the legal field. She looks forward to implementing her passion in economic empowerment and gender justice into the practice of law.

Yunfei is considering law school in the future.
