Thomas Siafa Jr. is a Legal Assistant in the San Francisco office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. He received his B.A. from the University of Chicago, where he majored in Chemistry and minored in Human Rights.
During his time at the University of Chicago, Thomas took a wide variety of courses in both Human Rights and History. The topics he found most interesting were African history, the distinction between human rights and civil rights, and the history of the American carceral system.
Thomas also worked in the UChicago Law School library as a Circulation Assistant and was a member of several cultural pre-professional organizations, including the Organization of Black Students and the African and Caribbean Student Association. He volunteered regularly as an undergraduate through his service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, and served as Alpha Phi Omega’s Vice President of Service during his senior year.
Thomas is considering law school in the future.
