Legal Assistant

Sydney Browne is a Legal Assistant in the Baltimore office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. She graduated from Cornell University in May 2023, where she earned a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations and quadruple minored in Business, Psychology, Human Development, and Law & Society. She also has a certificate in Paralegal Studies from Boston University.

During her time in college, she competed with the Cornell Speech and Debate Society for four years where she captained the Forensics Team her senior year and earned distinction from the Pi Kappa Delta Forensics Honor Society as well as other national tournaments. She also worked with the OneLove Foundation to educate young adults about healthy relationship behavior as well as the Stanford Parenting Center to provide parents with child development resources. In fulfilling her passion for interpersonal advocacy, Sydney helped to create a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that taught others the art of persuasion, argumentation, and advocacy. She has also worked organizations such as the Ithaca Advocacy Center and the Center for Abuse and Rape Emergencies of Punta Gorda to offer emotional and/or legal support to survivors of interpersonal abuse/violence.

Sydney hopes to attend graduate school in the future and procure degrees in Law (JD) and Social Work (MSW).
