Ruisi (Ashley) Chen

Ashley Chen is a Senior Legal Assistant in the Palo Alto and San Francisco Offices of Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, Maryland, and Georgia. She received her B.A. from the University of Chicago, where she majored in Business Economics and Philosophy.

Ashley’s academic interests range from continental philosophy to corporate finance, taking MBA-level courses at the Booth Business School, and assisting in research in antitrust policy as well as behavioral marketing.

At UChicago, Ashley worked in a wide range of fields. Her work experience includes projecting 35mm films at Doc Films, one of the oldest student-run film societies in U.S. She also worked as a barista in a student-run basement coffee shop. Outside of academics, Ashley is passionate about working out, visiting galleries, and reading about social justice issues.

Ashley plans to attend law school in the future.
