Ricardo Granderson

Ricardo Granderson is the Chief People Officer (CPO) at Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University and City University of New York Law School. He also completed training in mediation at Columbia University Law School.

As the CPO, he is responsible for building and maintaining a company culture by overseeing all aspects of the firm’s Human Resources department.

Mr. Granderson was the Equal Employment Opportunity Officer at 2 governmental agencies and was most recently a Vice President of Employee Relations, Labor Relations & HR Compliance for US Operations for a German logistics company and an Executive Vice President at a security company where he was First Chair at CBA negotiations. He was a Panel Member at Patterson Belnap’s Diversity in Alternative Dispute Resolution, the EEOC’s Training Institute, and the Employment Law Mediation panels of the NYSE, NASD and the CPR Institute of International Dispute Resolution (“CPR”).

Mr. Granderson is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Whitebird Theater and was recognized for 30 years of service to youth leadership in Harlem by Achieving Leadership’s Purpose. He has had articles published in The Amsterdam News, Alternatives Dispute Resolution Magazine and in Law360 Magazine. While he studied Capoeira and Japanese Karate when younger, he now does Salsa and Hustle Dancing.
