Senior Legal Assistant

Natalie Abbey is a Senior Legal Assistant in the Nashville office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. She received her B.A. in Public Policy & Leadership and Global Development Studies from the University of Virginia. Natalie has also earned a certificate in Business Fundamentals from the McIntire Business Institute.

While at the University of Virginia, Natalie was Co-Founder and Director of Vision for Bringing Race into Dialogue with Group Engagement (BRIDGE), an anti-racism organization designed to facilitate dialogue about race and racism as well as advance anti-racist policy and culture change on campus. She also partnered in researching and recommending curriculum reform through The Equity Collaborative, served as a public speaking consultant, worked for the Charlottesville Legal Aid Justice Center, and was a member of an all-female run investment fund. As a legal assistant at various firms and non-profits including the Family Justice Center and Child Justice, Inc., Natalie has been involved with empowering and supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence. She has worked with several firms and organizations in a consultant capacity on strategic and business process development in the interest of advancing social equity. Outside of her work and academic life, Natalie enjoys hiking, dancing, cooking, and adventuring.

Natalie hopes to attend law school in the future.
