Luke Lamberti is a Legal Assistant in the Washington, DC office of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. Luke received a B.A. in history with honors and distinction from Stanford University, and a minor in Spanish. While at Stanford, Luke received the Oral Communication Award for Excellence in Honors Thesis Presentation, and earned writing prizes in three separate academic programs: history, religious studies, and feminist, gender, and sexuality studies. Summer funding awarded through the Yale Law School Liman Undergraduate Summer Fellowship and Stanford’s Chappell Lougee Scholarship fostered his interest in public interest law. Outside of class, Luke worked as the Lab Coordinator for Stanford’s Migration and Asylum Lab, where he connected lawyers representing asylum seekers with expert witnesses and assisted in conducting country conditions research. During his undergraduate years, Luke also interned at the Santa Clara County Public Defender’s Office, a law firm supporting incarcerated Californians navigating the parole process, and a law firm representing people seeking Social Security benefits.
