Jeremy Margolis is a Senior Legal Assistant in the New York office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from Amherst College.
For his senior honors thesis, Jeremy investigated patterns of friendship formation among Amherst students in order to develop a better understanding of how social segregation and integration works on college campuses. During college, he also had the opportunity to serve as a writing tutor for county jail inmates enrolled in an Amherst course through the Inside-Out Prison Exchange program.
In the fall of 2018, Jeremy took a semester off from college to work on a successful U.S. House campaign in Iowa. In previous summers, he explored his interest in the criminal justice system through interning at an innocence program in Boston and the Office of the Public Defender in Chicago.
Jeremy is considering law school in the future.
