Holly Shulman is a Legal Assistant in the San Francisco office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. She received her B.A. from Vassar College, where she was awarded departmental honors in both her Latin American Studies and Hispanic Studies majors.
Holly’s senior thesis at Vassar took the form of a bilingual podcast series featuring Spanish-speaking English Language Learners from various high schools in New York’s Hudson Valley. In her role as a Research Assistant, she expanded this work to include two more series: one created in collaboration with a group of Rohingya refugees, and one with a cohort of middle school students in Hawaii. Upon her graduation, Holly appointed several students to succeed her as leaders of this program and the project is ongoing.
As an undergraduate, Holly wrote and edited for Vassar’s newspaper of record, The Miscellany News, and served as the Academic Intern for Vassar’s Hispanic Studies Department. She has previously held internships in Kings County Family Court and at Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
