Daniela Calderon is a Senior Legal Assistant in the New York office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. Daniela graduated with honors from Vassar College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society and awarded the Julia Flitner Lamb Prizes for excellence in political science.
As an undergraduate, Daniela focused on the intersection of race and gender in the American legal system. During her senior year, she conducted an independent study on the impact and sustainability of youth empowerment organizations, and their role in creating social change. She further explored her passion for civil rights and social justice through internships at the Dutchess County Public Defender’s Office and the Women’s Center, a non-profit designed to provide a structured process to reintegrate ex-female offenders into the community.
Daniela intends to pursue a law degree in the future.
