Chloe Prendergast is a Senior Legal Assistant in the San Francisco office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from Yale University, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
At Yale, Chloe won the Charles Washburn Clark prize for the best senior essay in comparative government or politics for her senior thesis: “The Comic Effect: Humor and the Construction of National Identity in Northern Ireland.” The paper focused on the connection between the institutional, linguistic, banal, and everyday sites that interconnect comedy and identity in the country. Her research illuminated important connections between politics and culture, including the impact of legislation and litigation as it relates to group rights.
Chloe won the school’s 2018 Last Comic Standing competition and opened for SNL’s Sasheer Zamata in that year’s Fall Comedy Show.
Chloe worked as a research assistant at Yale’s Institute for Social and Policy Studies and as a teaching assistant in the Economics department during her time at school. Chloe has interned with various Democratic U.S. Senate and Georgia Governor campaigns and in the Governor’s Office of Rhode Island.
