Legal Assistant

Catharine Corliss is a Legal Assistant in the Palo Alto office of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. Catharine received her B.A. from Stanford University, where she majored in American studies and minored in political science.

While at Stanford, Catharine worked as a research assistant for a professor of art history, focusing on Chinese American artists based in San Francisco’s Chinatown after the 1906 earthquake. Catharine was also heavily involved in Caesura, Stanford’s undergraduate journal of literature. She served as an editor, co-editor-in-chief, and financial officer for the journal over the course of three years. Beyond campus, Catharine interned at the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office.

Outside of work, Catharine enjoys listening to new music, cooking with friends and family, and sharing a good cup of coffee or tea. Catharine plans to attend law school in the future.
