Ayanna Martin is a Senior Legal Assistant in the Nashville office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, a national law firm with offices in the District of Columbia, New York, California, Tennessee, and Maryland. She received her B.S. from Vanderbilt University. Her academic interests included global development, public policy, and mass incarceration in the U.S.
While at Vanderbilt, Ayanna served as Chair of Project I Am, an organization dedicated to the personal and professional development of minority students. During her junior year, Ayanna explored her passion for international studies and social equality as an intern at Douglas Silas Solicitors, a London-based law firm that advocates Special Needs Children’s education rights. Her senior capstone focused on how the dynamics of class, race, and gender affect management styles and employment practices in a cross-cultural context.
Ayanna plans to attend law school in the future.
