Recognition Included 2018 National and Regional Awards Across Diverse Practices

March 12, New York – Sanford Heisler Sharp a leading national public interest class action law firm, and many of its attorneys earned high-profile recognition in 2018 for their continued success representing plaintiffs in employment, ERISA, consumer fraud, whistleblower, wage and hour, and other high-stakes litigation matters.

The firm earned both national and regional recognition for its winning record and impact on the practice of law.

2018 brought Sanford Heisler Sharp honors as a top-rated employment firm from American Lawyer, Corporate Counsel and the National Law Journal. Chambers & Partners ranked the firm among a small group of law firms in Tier One in the U.S.

Law360 named Sanford Heisler Sharp its 2018 National Employment Practice of the Year; Silicon Review honored the firm as one of the “50 Most Trustworthy Companies;” and U.S. News & World Report Best Lawyers awarded its top rankings to the firm in many categories.

The firm was also rated AV by the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating System and the firm earned recognition for its Google wage and hour settlement from TopVerdicts.com.

2018 Recognition of Individual Lawyers

Many individuals at Sanford Heisler Sharp also earned top honors last year.

Sanford, Chairman of the firm, was one of three finalists for The American Lawyer’s coveted national “Attorney of the Year” award. He also earned honors as a 2018 “Titan of the Plaintiffs’ Bar” and  2018 “Employment MVP” from Law360; 2018 National Law Journal “Plaintiff’s Lawyer Trailblazer;” 2018 Tier One Chambers Ranking and  “Leader in the Field for Labor & Employment in New York”; and 2018 “Leading Plaintiff Employment Lawyer” recognition from Lawdragon.

Sanford was also recognized as a 2018 “Lawyer of Distinction” and he, partner H. Vincent McKnight, Jr., Of Counsel Altomease Kennedy, and senior litigation counsel Thomas Henderson earned Top Employment Lawyers status from American Lawyer in Washington, DC

Sanford, Kennedy and McKnight were named 2018 employment and labor law standouts by Super Lawyers, and Kennedy was chosen as winner of the prestigious Marguerite Barland Merit Award from Goucher College.

U.S. News & World Report Best Lawyers recognized Sanford, McKnight, Kennedy and Jill Sullivan Sanford among 2018’s “Best Lawyers in America for Employment Law.” And partners Sanford and McKnight, along with the firm’s Vice-Chairman Jeremy Heisler and partners Kate Mueting, Russell Kornblith and Andrew Melzer were named “Labor and Employment Stars by Benchmark Litigation in the northeast and Nashville Managing Partner Kevin Sharp was named a “Labor and Employment Star” by Benchmark Litigation in the south.

On the west coast, , Sanford Heisler Sharp's California Managing Partner, was honored as Trial Lawyer of the Year” by Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), and was named a 2018 “Litigation Star” in the west by Benchmark Litigation. In addition, Chapin was recognized as a 2018 Super Lawyer in labor and employment, business litigation, and personal injury law, earning further accolades as one of the “Top 50 San Diego Super Lawyers for the Year.”

Danielle Fuschetti, senior litigation counsel in the firm’s San Francisco office, was named a Northern California “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, and was nominated as a California “Consumer Lawyer of the Year” by CAOC.

Others at the firm earning Super Lawyers’ recognition last year included Baltimore and Washington, DC partner Steven J.
