Litigation Fellow – Palo Alto

Sanford Heisler Sharp, LLP, a national public interest law firm with a focus on game-changing employment discrimination cases, seeks a Litigation Fellow for its soon to open Palo Alto office to start early fall 2022 or as soon as possible. Fellows will focus on representing plaintiffs in individual and class action employment discrimination matters. In addition, Fellows will assist the Firm’s world-class team of attorneys on a range of high-stakes, sexual assault cases, Title IX lawsuits, qui tam and whistleblower matters, wage and hour actions, and financial services cases.

Sanford Heisler Sharp has represented thousands of individuals in some of the most significant class action cases before the courts, including numerous female partners in BigLaw firms. We have secured landmark victories through trial and settlements and have a number of cases currently before the district and federal appellate courts that raise novel issues of law. We are currently litigating cases against major law firms Jones Day, Ogletree Deakins & Nash, and Morrison & Foerster and against universities such as Harvard, Columbia, and Yale.

Litigation Fellows will work with case team members and clients in settlement negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Litigation Fellows are expected to conduct factual and legal research; draft legal documents (including pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, mediation statements, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements); participate in discovery; provide legal advice to clients; assist and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and court proceedings; and attend industry, networking, and community outreach events. Our Fellows are expected to learn quickly from the Firm’s more experienced attorneys and are given as much responsibility as they can handle.

The position in Palo Alto, CA is available as soon as possible or no later than early fall 2022. The Palo Alto office is scheduled to open mid-summer and employees are currently working from the San Francisco location until opening the new office.
