Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight is proud to celebrate Women’s History Month, a time to recognize the social, economic, and political achievements of women throughout history. This month, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing gender equality.
This year, the National Women’s History Alliance has selected the theme “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations.” This theme highlights the enduring impact of women who have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship, and leadership, inspiring generations past, present, and future. From classrooms to boardrooms, these trailblazers have shaped history and continue to pave the way for future leaders.
Women’s History Month has deep roots in the women’s labor movement of the early 1900s, which led to the observance of International Women’s Day on March 8. The work started by these courageous women is far from done. A 2024 report found that at the current pace of progress, gender parity in corporate America will take 22 years for white women, and more than twice as long for women of color. At Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, we are committed to making workplaces fairer and safer for women by representing women facing sexual harassment, sex and gender discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, pay disparities, and workplace sexual violence. As women make strides in education, leadership, and labor force participation, Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight is proud to advocate for their rights and ensure that progress is not hindered by discrimination or harassment.
