Sanford Heisler has a particular expertise representing corporate executives. We have represented CEOs, Presidents, Vice Presidents, HR Heads, General Counsels, Senior In-House Legal Counsel, and other upper-level management at Fortune 100 Companies throughout the United States.
Work at this level requires discreet and nimble legal representation, as many of these negotiations are conducted confidentially. For example, Sanford Heisler currently is in the midst of negotiations on behalf of a Senior Executive at one of the nation’s largest investment banking and securities firms, and fully expects successful resolution of the dispute in keeping with the success we have secured for other Executive clients. Sanford Heisler recently settled a matter on behalf of an In-House Counsel at a top-ten U.S. corporation. Sanford Heisler also brings publicly-filed lawsuits when that route is favored by our clients.
Some examples of our publicly-filed cases include:
Thomas v. General Electric Corporation, et al.
Sanford Heisler represented Marc Thomas, President and CEO of General Electric Aviation Materials, in his suit on behalf of himself and other African-American executives at GE. Mr. Thomas alleged racial discrimination in pay and promotions at the highest levels of the GE Corporate structures. Sanford Heisler settled the case for undisclosed terms. More
Schaefer v. General Electric Corporation, et al.
Sanford Heisler represented Lorene Schaefer, former General Counsel of GE Transportation, and a class of executive female employees and a class of female attorneys.
General Electric Company and Lorene Schaefer announced they settled the lawsuit in May 2007. During their settlement discussions, GE and Ms. Schaefer along with Kim Conklin, Margaret Harding and Jeana Quintana, reviewed policies and practices that are effective in building and sustaining an inclusive culture. These discussions will contribute to GE’s programs focused on developing women in its executive ranks. The terms of the settlement are confidential. More
